The Moon God · Measurer of Time · Father of Light in the Dark Sumerian: Nanna. Akkadian: Sin. The moon itself, made divine.
Nanna is the son of Enlil — born from a union that was not entirely consensual, which makes his light in the darkness something more complex than simple beauty. He travels the sky at night in a great boat of luminous reeds. He measures time — the Sumerian calendar was lunar. Every month is his cycle. Every full moon is his fullness.
His light makes things visible that the day would miss — the shadow in the canyon, the tear on a face, the path through the desert. He does not burn. He reveals.
His domain in the deck: Cycles. Sacred time. What the daylight misses. The wisdom of night. The phases of a life.
