Underworld Enforcers · The Demons of Debt · What Follows You Out
The Galla are the constables of the Great Below. When Inanna was given permission to return from the underworld, the Galla were sent with her to collect the substitute — the soul who would go down in her place, because the underworld does not allow departure without exchange.
They know neither food nor drink. They accept no flour offering or water libation. They receive no gift. They feel no joy. They simply follow. They simply collect.
In the reading, the Galla represent what follows you when you've been avoiding the reckoning. The debt that has been accumulating while you looked away. The thing you owe — to the world, to yourself, to someone you have wronged.
They are not evil. They are accountants. They are precise.
